love love love diffeomorphism pictures.
Notice how Texas, known for its ‘redness’ is more of a purple. The continuing changes in the population densities in the north and south have affected the traditional red and blue states. I’m eager to see what a 2012 cartogram would look like to mirror the new changes from the 2010 U.S Census Bureau.
